The development
of palm oil and rubber plantation industries in Indonesia shows satisfactory progress.
Nevertheless, this is not in line with the readiness of a qualified human
resources. As the solution tothe
above problem, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu
Pertanian Agribisnis Perkebunan (STIP-AP), established by Yayasan Pendidikan
Perkebunan(YPP), which is one of the
independent units of Lembaga Pendidikan Perkebunan (LPP), is eager to provide
solutions to this issue. STIP-AP is
expected to be able to meet the need of a ready to work labor forces, who
possesses Diploma 4 qualification in plantation agribusiness and agro technology,
in accordance with the demand and change of occur within the plantation industry
